When we'd tell clients they need to blog, the most common response was

Before I had 2 best selling books, I'd blog weekly. I learned how to be succinct, impactful, and purposeful with my writing whether's it's a landing page, email marketing, FB ads, or books! I used my voice and it became fun and empowering.
2. It's amazing SEO and makes Google happy.
We have an SEO provider on our team who tells us our exact keywords, but the most basic way to start is to know what search words associate with your brand and to add them into your website, social, media, and landing pages.
The more updates you make to your website with relevant, clickable content, the higher you're ranked on Google.
3. It inspires your audience and documents your life.
Education based marketing combined with storytelling is the secret sauce for relationship building and client conversion. In simpler terms, when you share your life and teach people how you overcame something or did something, they want to invest in you.
I also love going back and looking at my blogs from 4, 5, 6 years ago to see where I was in my business and life to where I am today. Looking back at the growth and evolution inspires me to keep going and helps me celebrate how far I've gone! Lead with service, inspiration, and fun, and good things will come back to you!
