How It Works?
LESSON PLAN: Each week for 4 weeks, you’ll learn a new building block to find your idea and craft your talk. Week 5, you’ll present your finished first draft and learn how to ace the interview process. Week 6, you’ll present one last time for final feedback from the group.
WORKSHEETS: Each week, you’ll have writing prompts, videos, and blank spaces to craft your first draft of your talk and write notes about the lesson.
GROUP CALLS: These calls are working calls, one time a week for 6 weeks, for 2 hours. You’ll be learning, writing, presenting, brain dumping, and connecting. All our learning happens live in real time, so you can walk away ready to fine tune your writing. There are no pre-recorded videos to watch as lessons; however, the live calls will be recorded and placed in the library to view anytime, anywhere.
HOMEWORK: Your homework each week is to write. You’ll learn the building blocks, see examples, talk through your ideas, and be sent off to write your talk section by section.
EMERGENCY 1:1 SESSION: You can edit words on a page. You can’t edit a blank page. If you need further clarity or a boost, you’ll get one, 15-minute, 1:1 session each week to keep you on track. The only requirement is that you must have something to work with. “I don’t know what to write” is not an acceptable request for a 1:1.
By the end of 6 weeks, you’ll have your specific, unique idea worth sharing, your first draft in hand, and the answers to the important questions that qualify you for acing the interview process to be selected as a TEDx speaker.Â
About your trainer,
Lisa Pezik
Growing up, it seemed like everyone was telling Lisa that she wasn’t good enough. Coaches, teachers — even her own family. But things are different now because she shed the dead weight of “not good enough” and is living life on her terms. Lisa’s on a mission to spread more generational strengths than generational curses and help people live regret free.
Her musical one-woman show, Too Big For Her Britches, is a story about breaking narcissistic generational abuse and finding self-love. It is a multiple award-winning show that has toured around the World including Edinburgh, Scotland, Hollywood, Hamilton, Ontario, and Off Broadway on 42nd Street in New York City. In 2023, Too Big for Her Britches was awarded The Pick of the Fringe Award by Musical Theatre Review. It was one of the twelve total awards given out to over 3,000 shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest arts festival in the world.
Lisa is also the creative behind Infinite Design House. She dives deep into every project she takes on, bringing her signature passion, spark, and bubbly energy to the process. She has helped grow countless companies to 7-figures and beyond using the power of story. She also is a part of the TEDx Huntington Beach Team.
Lisa has mentored under some of the best, including Brendon Burchard, Bo Eason, Jean-Louis Rodrigue, and Roger Love. She’s also a Business Strategist, a #1 International Amazon Best Selling Author, TEDx Speaker, Thrive Global Author, Former ACE Certified Fitness Specialist, and a former RN who knows how to bring the best out of your business. When she’s not running the agency or performing, she’s renovating their home, working out with Peloton, doing karate (she’s one belt away from black), and hanging out with her favourite people, her husband, Eric and son, Oliver, and roost of pets.
